When I sat down to plan the July–September issue of COCKTAIL/S, I knew I wanted to tell the story of my English Bulldog, Chloe. What I didn’t expect was how many other people would share stories about the animals who changed their lives too. Somewhere along the way, this issue became less about one dog and more about the love, loyalty, heartbreak, and healing that so many of us have experienced because of them.
Of course, you’ll still find everything that makes COCKTAIL/S what it is: inspiring women, health and fitness, fashion, business, relationships, and honest conversations that make us all feel a little more connected. But woven throughout these pages is a reminder that some of life’s greatest lessons don’t come from people at all.
